Помогите, пожалуйста, перевести выражение из Общих условий продажи:
The Seller shall be liable in accordance with legal regulations, in so far as the Purchaser asserts damage claims based on malice...
Может ли in so far as выступать здесь как синоним слова "если"?
Буду очень благодарна за помощь.

Because it does not fit the meaning of the text...:

The Seller shall be liable in accordance with legal regulations, in so far as the Purchaser asserts damage claims based
on malice, intent or gross negligence including malice, intent or gross negligence on the part of its representatives or
persons employed by it to perform an obligation.

"If" is more appropriate here.
