Subject: page impressions
The advertiser has a guarantied volume of page impressions.
Прим. пер. я полный ноль в рекламном бизнесе, в чем за последние дни я имею возможность убедиться ;(((

Tarion, помогу и с этим.

page impressions
a.k.a. page requests -or- page views

The number of times a Web page is requested from a server. This is the preferred counting method for traffic measurement (instead of hits) because it only counts documents, not individual files. A single HTML page is counted as one page impression.

Miirimi, спасибо огромное, это действительно "обращения к странице". А guarantied - енто они сами так написали, я уже боюсь в их тексте буквы менять, вдруг для рекламщиков это что-то подскажет.

Miirimu, could you be so kind to explain me what's the difference between "page view" and "hit"? As I see it, the procedure is as follows: You launch IE, click on a link (i.e."hit") and open and view the page.

2 Kondorsky:

My answer was a quotation from one site (just to help Tarion). Now, considering your question, there's what another link offers:

Page impression -

The exact number of times a specific Web site has been accessed or viewed by a user. A page impression acts as a counter for Web pages, informing site owners how many times their sites were visited. Page impressions are also referred to as hits.

I'm a li'l puzzled...
