Уважаемые господа переводчики! Отзовитесь, кто знает! Термин относится к взрывному делу (взрыв на дробление в открытых горных выработках). Контекст:
"Another concern with the joint surfaces is that in many instances smooth joints act as conduits for detonation gases to penetrate into neighboring unfired holes. Typically this results in the deadpressing of a portion of the powder column or in severe situations sympathetic detonation."
В online словарях, глоссариях найти это слово не удается. Другие контексты из электронных публикаций:
