Subject: Request for Quotation- “RFQ”
Good afternoot to everybody. Could somebody help me with the term "Request for Quotation" or in short: RFQ.
The following paragraph is taken from Contract of supply of spares for helicopters:

EXTRA SUPPLY OF EQUIPMENT
Article 3

3.1. Should a need arise for the purchase of Equipment as per Article 2 paragraph 2.3 above, the Buyer shall submit to the Seller through the Importer, a Request for Quotation (hereinafter referred to as “RFQ”) including as a minimum: RFQ number and date, itemized list (specification) of the required Equipment and the corresponding Part Numbers, units of measure, quantities and technical characteristics.

It would be grate, if someone could translate the above mentioned term in Russian or give an explanation in English.
Thank you for your attention

Запрос котировок
Применяется в рамках упрощенной процедуры закупки, эдакий сильно урезанный вариант тендера.
