Subject: feed them in feet
Помогите пожалуйста с переводом данного выражения. Встретилось оно мне в тексте одной из песен Iron Maiden. Вот контекст:

Holy smoke, holy smoke
There's plenty bad preachers for the devil to stoke
Feed them in feet first, this is no joke
It's a thirsty work making holy smoke

Заранее благодарен.

Feed them feet first into the pyres of hell, I think.

Wouldn't worry too much about metal lyrics, they're never too deep. But I did love Maiden back then.

Yes. I also thought Steve Harrison was cute.

Kath, do you mean Steve Harris? %)
Don't make fans of Maiden mad! :-)

А, до меня наконец дошло, не без твоей помощи, Kath. Это, типа, ногами вперёд. Спасибо. :)

2Mazz - sorry, Harris. It's been a while :) Did you see them at Olympisky in 93? A supposed last show with Bruce Dickinson?

Yes, nogami vpered. All rather simple. Of the metal bands of that time, Rush had somewhat complex lyrics rooted in mythology.

Kath, in '93 I was just 11 y.o. :-)) Back to the 90's the heaviest band I enjoyed was "Queen" ;)
