А мне кажется, что мыльницa это disposable camera, дешёвые одноразовые фотики.
На картинку вот здесь показаны point and shoot камеры, и они не дешёвые.

и дорогие бывают - цифровые мыльницы в том числе. "наводи-и-снимай", все автоматизировано

видать моя личная ассоциация слова мыльница с дешевизной и невысоким качеством (хотя всё относительно, конечно, относительно потребителя). Самая дешёвая point and shoot камера, которую нашла, стоит $137

funny, i have read an article today about point-and-shoot cameras: it 's the camera with a veiwfinder and LCD display: whena you shoot from a distance there's no distortion, but if from a close range, thena whatever you u see in viewfinder is not exactly what the lens catches, it's called paralax,
these cameras are called SLR, there are not bad, but less expensive;

whereas DSLR, or thru the lens cameras: there is no paralax,what you see is exactly whata goes thru the lens, on these cameras you can switch, lenses, they are getting less and less expensive, as an example they put the name Cannon Rebel with a price approx. $1.500 canadian,
