Hi there,

No, not clairvoyant, I'm afraid, but I do have a younger brother (who plays these games. I've never played as am more old school. From seeing the game though, I think Snake Eater here encompasses many things. To start with, the character's name is Snake. Or Solid Snake. Because he is treacharous, dangerous, survivor. Also because camouflage is such an important part of the game. And stealth - his technique is fashioned on a snake. Finally, he does actually eat snakes. Pythons and anacondas are rated quite higly, aren't they? Also, there's an expression 'man-eater' about a woman who is dangerous to men. Snake-eater is a play on those words - this Snake is dangerous to snakes. And snakes are considered some of the most dangerous creatures to man. So, basically, the name emphasizes the toughness of this guy. He's a real bad-ass! (in a good sense). I hope that clears it up.

PS - please bear in mind that this is my interpretation. perhaps someone else sees it differently (but i don't think i'm too far off :))
