Subject: Сокращение Q в экономике

В письмах разного содержания одной и той же компании часто встречается сокращение Q.
Помогите, пожалуйста, разобраться, что оно обозначает. У меня были предположения "квартал" и "квадрант". Однако они не везде подходят.

1. We will be reviewing—and evaluating—the performance or the brand against Sillicon Valley/Alley competitors. Toward that end, please be prepared to discuss the Q3 results in terms or our Q4 projections. And Derife, please prepare the revised Vivek 12 adoption graph.

2. In a climate of financial austerity, Vector, Inc. is reducing costs by restricting new equipment purchases. Similarly, aggressive debt restructuring has led to a tighter balance sheet in which outlays are subject to close scrutiny. Moreover, losses in the Q3 supply sector have hit hard. Consequently, we cannot maintain our current quotas from Lumina.

3. I believe that Vector is posed to capture an additional 10 percent of trie market share in Q2 and Q3.

4. Under your supervision, I have helped develop plans that have enabled Vector, Inc. subsidiaries to grow by 7% in 5Q. I have, in fact, proven my abilities.

5. We are under deadlines to finish working capital ratios as Q4 draws to a close. This task is all the more challenging in the wake of the Solaris merger. Both expectations and tensions are high.

6. Upper management has brought to my attention that the M5 account has capital expenditures inconsistent with allocated assets recorded in the Q2 budget.
