Помогите разобраться с абзацем. Мне кажется что-то здесь не так в оригинале, как то немножко несуразно. Никак не соображу от "Наверху воздух", перевела как можно ближе к исходнику, но все равно не нравится

Принципиальное отличие технологии в том, что сейчас блок выпиливают по 4-м сторонам. Наша технология позволяет выпилить по 5 сторонам. Это радикально меняет картину. Сейчас для отделения блока в каменоломнях пилой снизу делают горизонтальный пропил, а потом сверху вертикальный к этому горизонтальному. То есть, доступ к блоку нужен с фасада и сверху. Именно по этому используют каменоломни, а не шахты. Наверху воздух. А в шахте для получения доступа сверху нужно делать горизонтальную штольню. Это значит, что надо разрушить и вытащить огромное количество крепкой породы. И стоимость таких блоков становиться очень большой. При нашем способе блоки вытаскивают, как будто это выемка грунта.

Thus, a block should be gettable from the front and from the top. That’s why quarries are used instead of mines. There’s air above. And a horizontal drift is required to get access from the top in the mine. This means one will have to break and extract a lot of hard rock. So that’s why the cost of such blocks is so high. Our technology makes block extracting process similar to excavation work.

There is room above. In a mine, a horizontal gallery is required to be made to get access from above. It means that huge amount of hard rock should be broken and excavated. Cost of such blocks turns to be too high. Our technique provides for pulling-out the blocks as if it were excavations works.
