Контекст такой:
Contractor shall not be required to perform any Services to the extent that performing such services would breach any agreement to which either Company or Contractor is a party or by which the properties of Company are bound or to the extent the performance of such Services would be impracticable or would require Contractor to violate any applicable laws, rules or regulations.
