Можно ли обозвать форму выпуска лекарства form of drug? Или существует специальный термин.

Есть специальный термин. Это вполне строго называется formulation.

drug formulation - refers to the compostion, (formula?) as in "the colors show that the drug comprises beads of various types, which will have different interactions with the other components of the formulation"

if you're talking about liquid v. pill v. powder - then it's form, as in "the drug is manufactured in liquid, pill and powder form"

"Formulation" and "drug formulation" -- это конкретные фармакологические ТЕРМИНЫ, и обозначают они не состав лекарства, а именно лекарственную форму. Это не то же самое, что formula.

Сошлюсь лишь на несколько изданий, из многих тысяч:

я бы не сказал, что drug form - бытовой термин. погуглите, что ли.

Гуглить обожаю. Большой энтузиаст этого дела. Погуглите и Вы на оба выражения: "drug form" и "drug formulation". В кавычках. ОК?

термин "(pharmaceutical) formulation", безусловно, правомерен. но зачастую его используют в качестве синонима фармацевтической композиции. термин "dosage form", на мой взгляд, более однозначен, и я голосую за него.
