No, it's not "filosofskaya shkola":-))
It's just a (very common) way of saying that there are (several) different a) ways of doing (smth - whatever they are doing, depending on your context), b) approaches to doing it, and c)groups of people (="schools of thought") who each advocate one of the above.
Т.е. просто "подходы, взгляды"
