Если серьёзно, то конечно, просто hippo. Нет у них родовых суффиксов-окончаний, ну что поделать. И не надо, имя на себя возьмёт нужные функции.

Одно время любил смотреть про разных диких птиц/животных в домашних условиях.
В списке (по памяти) значатся совы, орлы, соколы, еноты, енотовидные собаки, норки, хорьки, белки, рыси, львы, пумы, тигры, камышовые коты, гепарды, сервалы, лисы, волки, аисты.

Но чтоб вот так запросто на ужин в кухню бегемот являлся - такого не видел раньше никогда.
