У-у, опять целую систему нагородили. Интересно, зачем? Всё это легко реализуется в рамках PDF, так нет же… Под себя делали (в обоих смыслах). :-)))
Я тут обнаружил у себя некий авиационный справочник в PDF с общей базой исходных данных — там масса кошерных переводов терминов на русский. Только не помню, где я его взял, не отсюда ли? Вы наверняка отслеживаете такие вещи: если надо, выложу.

ну это сделано для оперативного веб-доступа. Для доступа к нужной статье достаточно загрузить два индексных файла и один ПДФ небольшого размера

Нет, это я понимаю, но иметь массу отдельных документов вместо одного большого на локальном диске крайне неудобно… Я их понимаю: видимо, им так проще править и просматривать по Сети. Только вот не уверен, что эти рюшики и кружавчики сохранятся при слиянии (ещё и придумай, как его осуществить правильно) для локального применения. Ну да ладно, всё равно поиск у меня осуществляется в обход этой красоты.
