Manual closure by the field operator (at FCR) of these ESD valves is also executed via these PLCs, using the SCADA MDS radio network and PLC serial data hi-way in the RTU shelter.
The CFM PLC’s are all single Model SLC 5/04 connected to each other on a single data hi-way connecting to the SCADA in the FCR via the MDS radio, but designed such that control and instrumented protective functions are all contained in a single system
