Suitable materials for the seal may include metals, particularly soft metals such as copper, aluminum, zinc and lead. Other suitable materials may include polymers, particularly high temperature capable polymeric materials. These polymeric materials may include fillers, and these fillers may be non-polymeric. An example of a filled polymer may be a nylon filled with copper flake. In one embodiment, the seal may be formed by the use of a thermal gel or paste that has characteristics of enhancing the contact heat transfer between the fluid conduit and the fin.
