The desulphurization reactors are arranged in series, thus a higher loading of both beds can be attained. As soon as H2S is detected downstream of the first reactor, the reactor will be isolated and refilled with fresh adsorbent, while the plant remains on stream using the second reactor. Back on stream, the fresh reactor now operates as second reactor in series. In this way, a maximum loading of adsorbent is attained.
