Pulse Cut
The pulsing action of the POWERMET® 2000 is very useful when cutting large or difficult samples. Pulse action enables the cutting wheel to work more efficiently.
When activated through the control pad, the normal feed of the cutting wheel is suspended briefly or pulsed. The duration of the interruption is constant but the length of time between each interruption or pulse is varied between a half second to five seconds ===in half-second steps.=====
Use the Pulse Increase or Pulse Decrease buttons on the control pad to change the length of the pulse action.

наверное, шучу. со станками практически дел не имею. поэтому не понимаю, как может быть шаг в полсекунды, а продолжительность реза с пульсацией от пол-секунды до 5 секунд.
