Имхо, в последнем предложении идет дальнейшее разъяснение слова Caution: (о том, что указатель шкалы возвращается к исходному нулевому значению и экран становится белым (пустым)).

Возможно, имеется в виду шкала с белыми цифрами на дисплее - разные шкалы отличаются цветом цифр:
