Gravity Drop. The gravity drop annunciator operates by momentarily
energizing a drop solenoid which releases the annunciator drop. The adjustment
of this release mechanism is very critical to the operation of the annunciator. If this mechanism fails to release the drop, the solenoid is continuously energized and will over heat and burn out. Each individual drop should be checked to be certain of adequate clearance
