Deskew is a function that properly aligns documents that have become slightly skewed during input. Despeckle is a function which removes dust particles and specks from the document so that the scan is less contaminated. This increases the OCS accuracy and makes the files smaller and therefore they can be retrieved, searched and distributed faster.
