stud / metal stud - ?

The powder-metering hopper contains an accurate, powered, powder-measuring auger, driven by an electric motor through a gearbox. The torque to the auger is transmitted through a shear pin to protect the auger from severe damage related to over torque. There is also a sensor mounted to the gearbox to detect shaft rotation.
The sensor must be positioned to within .040 (1mm) inch of the metal stud. The stud is adjusted by loosening the clamp bolt, positioning the stud in relation to the sensor, and re-tightening the stud. Make sure the shaft rotation is in the correct direction upon reassembly.
