Part of the EW including the actions started to ensure the effective use of the electromagnetic spectrum by friendly forces in spite of enemy uses of the electromagnetic energy: it is subdivided into active and passive measures. (FRA); A series of measures to ensure the reliable operation of radioelectronic systems targeted by enemy electronic warfare operations. Electronic protective measures are a part of electronic warfare and include active electronic protection measures, protection from enemy guided weapons and steps to ensure the electromagnetic compatibility of friendly radioelectronic assets. Electronic protective measures consist of various organizational and technical procedures and their implementation depends on highly specialized training for the operators of radioelectronic assets.
