Examples include original birth certificates, death certificates, Spanish land grants, etc. * Perpetual Records – Records retained for an indefinite period of time and then stored or destroyed after some event takes place. Examples include office personnel files which are kept until a person leaves the office, policy files kept until the policy is changed, contract files kept until the contract terminates, etc. * Program Records – Records that relate to the primary function of the agency in response to its daily mission.
