milit., logist. The intelligence cycle is a sequence of operations carried out to request, obtain, regroup and process pieces of information into pieces of intelligence and make them available to the users. The intelligence cycle includes four phases: 1. the direction of the intelligence and collection efforts; 2. the information collection; 3. the processing and exploitation of the collected information and the production of intelligence; 4. the presentation and dissemination of intelligence.
