CIMIC function
milit., logist.	"Environment" operational function, the "CIMIC" function groups all actions carried out by the forces in the theater, designed to take into account the interaction between these forces and their civil environment, as well as attaining both the civil and military objectives. They aim at providing further solutions to the purely military courses of action, thus participating in the success of the operational or strategic objectives defined by the mission. (FRA)
