Sometimes called "harpoon", the deployment CP is that part of a CP which is sent in a state of emergency on a future theatre of operations, with one or more of the following roles: 1. command of elements engaged in the preliminary phase; 2. preparation of the deployment and support of the forces, which includes the setting up of the necessary assets and structures. The deployment CP can be the embryo of: 3. the operation’s MAIN CP
JTCP or Ground Tactical Command CP
; 4. the supporting CP.
